GB: [00:00:00] someday replay back for another week of daily talk show highlights. Uh, with grace, Mason and Jess as usual and our guest for today sitting in Josh Janssen seat it's Josh's partner Bri.
[00:00:28] Bree: [00:00:28] Hi guys. Hi, thanks for coming on Fraser. Thanks for having me
[00:00:35] GB: [00:00:35] really nervous and going on the daily talk show, huh?
[00:00:39] Bree: [00:00:39] Yeah, a little bit more. The hands are clammy. I can really feel it.
[00:00:45] GB: [00:00:45] That's cause it's like 30 degrees outside.
[00:00:47] Bree: [00:00:47] Yeah. I'm writing degrees in there
[00:00:49] Mr. 97: [00:00:49] though. Surely
[00:00:50] Bree: [00:00:50] it's perfect in here. Well, Josh has been riding his new bike in here, so it's perfect temperature.
[00:00:57] GB: [00:00:57] Yeah. We are recording this on Monday and the bike literally just arrived.
[00:01:01] Bree: [00:01:01] Yeah.
[00:01:01] GB: [00:01:01] Yeah. What's the vibe.
[00:01:03] Bree: [00:01:03] Oh, he's very happy. He's very, very happy. Oh, I can hear us coming in. I was like, I'm like, I can hear almost like squealing and the cart, like, so basically there's a screen. And there's someone that will coach you and like take you through the whole thing.
[00:01:19] And so she's like, well, come on Josh. But she's like, it's actually fun. And actually sounds quite sexual. I could hear it from
[00:01:34] Yeah, it's actually quite fun, but he loves it. It's great.
[00:01:37] GB: [00:01:37] You have a go on it yet or?
[00:01:38] Bree: [00:01:38] No, but he asked me if I would like to have a go tonight. I said I crashed. So Sherry's
[00:01:42] Grace Peris: [00:01:42] caring.
[00:01:44] Bree: [00:01:44] Yes. I know. I'm going to have a cry. Yeah. I'm going to have a crack. I'll give it a go. I didn't have lie. Cry. Like he does. He had the full get up, like the uni to almost thing that you wear and like the zip top over the top.
[00:01:53] But, um,
[00:01:55] Mr. 97: [00:01:55] yeah, he put, did he put the straps on here
[00:01:57] Bree: [00:01:57] yet?
[00:02:00] Mr. 97: [00:02:00] Jerkin. And you do that for every ride from now.
[00:02:03] Bree: [00:02:03] That's the next thing that I know who like, Oh, I need new gear, like new clothes.
[00:02:07] Jess Lucas: [00:02:07] They should have a look today. Cause it's cyber Monday.
[00:02:09] GB: [00:02:09] Is it
[00:02:14] Mr. 97: [00:02:14] you don't know this?
[00:02:16] GB: [00:02:16] No, I'm not across any
[00:02:18] Mr. 97: [00:02:18] black Friday and cyber Monday. They've always been a thing.
[00:02:21] GB: [00:02:21] Really? What did I do?
[00:02:23] Mr. 97: [00:02:23] Nothing. Nothing. It just goes all weekend.
[00:02:25] Bree: [00:02:25] It's a big style. Like all like a lot of brands console. We didn't like, Hey Todd, you didn't go on sale. But like a few others did not, but like majority of people do.
[00:02:33] It's like,
[00:02:34] Grace Peris: [00:02:34] because it's sovereign America, like after Thanksgiving, didn't it.
[00:02:37] Bree: [00:02:37] Yeah, it's big discounts, like 30, 50% off.
[00:02:40] Mr. 97: [00:02:40] It's like it's, it's all those outrageous clips you see of people running into shopping centers of punch ons. That's black Friday and cyber Monday.
[00:02:47] GB: [00:02:47] That's disgusting. Yeah. Have you guys done Christmas shopping yet?
[00:02:51] Bree: [00:02:51] No.
[00:02:52] Mr. 97: [00:02:52] Yeah,
[00:02:52] Grace Peris: [00:02:52] we finished ours
[00:02:56] GB: [00:02:56] buddy
[00:02:57] Bree: [00:02:57] started to send.
[00:02:58] Grace Peris: [00:02:58] Yeah. But it's cause we're going back to Perth for I'm getting stressed that we don't have things for people in Perth, things, people in Melbourne
[00:03:06] GB: [00:03:06] wasn't going to
[00:03:06] Grace Peris: [00:03:06] do both of them.
[00:03:08] GB: [00:03:08] So that'd be bringing home.
[00:03:09] Grace Peris: [00:03:09] Yeah. We've sent some presents to Perth, um, things like that so that we don't have to take them over in
[00:03:15] Mr. 97: [00:03:15] Perth.
[00:03:16] Grace Peris: [00:03:16] Yeah. Oh, that's
[00:03:17] GB: [00:03:17] good. Here we go.
[00:03:19] Bree: [00:03:19] He's onto it.
[00:03:21] GB: [00:03:21] Once you've done that. Did you get it from like a store near the house, less driving? Uh,
[00:03:27] Bree: [00:03:27] something that you would have
[00:03:28] Mr. 97: [00:03:28] two hours.
[00:03:30] Grace Peris: [00:03:30] It's just, no, it's North Perth. We have to go to it, but that's fine.
[00:03:34] GB: [00:03:34] Yeah. Are you going to teach Mason? Can you learn to drive over there?
[00:03:36] Can that be a little project?
[00:03:38] Grace Peris: [00:03:38] I don't know if mum will let
[00:03:42] Bree: [00:03:42] maybe she thought
[00:03:45] Grace Peris: [00:03:45] maybe she'd be like, yeah,
[00:03:46] Bree: [00:03:46] whatever, but we'll say
[00:03:49] GB: [00:03:49] the insurance for sure.
[00:03:51] Jess Lucas: [00:03:51] Might seem nervous about meeting the family what's happening. I know you've spoken to them online, but. No,
[00:03:57] Mr. 97: [00:03:57] I'm very excited. I'm very excited to meet Grace's mom.
[00:03:59] Cause we've done like FaceTimes and stuff we have, we've never, never met. So that's very exciting. And then I'm also excited to meet, uh, Grace's brother and his partner as well. We've done wine up, but we've never done more than that. So it's very exciting.
[00:04:12] GB: [00:04:12] Hey grace, are you still emceeing the wedding?
[00:04:15] Grace Peris: [00:04:15] I still am saying the wedding
[00:04:17] GB: [00:04:17] that I was actually, cause I was just before the show, I was listening to you guys, the girls talking on the phone during the 24 hour show you're talking about, Oh yeah, I'm saying the
[00:04:25] Bree: [00:04:25] wedding.
[00:04:26] Oh, good memory. Yeah. Was like.
[00:04:28] Grace Peris: [00:04:28] That'd be the 24 Ash. That was fun.
[00:04:33] GB: [00:04:33] How was that for you? Bri 24 hours. Yeah.
[00:04:36] Bree: [00:04:36] I mean, I think I, um, I fell asleep in the last hour, like the zoom and I'd fallen asleep and I think it was Shannon. That was like somebody wake Brie up. She's going to miss it. Um, and I woke up, so that was good, but it was so annoying. I managed to stay awake like 23 hours.
[00:04:50] It felt slightly just quick
[00:04:52] Grace Peris: [00:04:52] power nap at the very end.
[00:04:54] Bree: [00:04:54] It was very upsetting, but like I, at the last minute, yeah,
[00:04:58] GB: [00:04:58] I think I slept from like two till six or something. I hardly did it.
[00:05:02] Bree: [00:05:02] Yeah.
[00:05:04] GB: [00:05:04] Like midnight or something.
[00:05:07] Bree: [00:05:07] Edit a bunch of videos or something. Probably like you were trying to get all the stuff ready for it.
[00:05:12] Mr. 97: [00:05:12] No, that's fair enough.
[00:05:13] Bree: [00:05:13] Yeah. Doing 24 hours, like days before this strain, but, um,
[00:05:19] GB: [00:05:19] yeah, so we did mention just before, uh, about the bike, uh, Josh has got it now. That's very exciting. So just for a bit of context, if you got it looking at it right now, uh, he's a little, you know, a few bits from the last two weeks of Josh getting psyched about the bike.
[00:05:37] Josh Janssen: [00:05:37] I went to a mate's house and she was like, you gotta try this bike. I sit on the bike. I'm like, Oh man, your fans are so good in here. She's like, I know that's the bike. The bike had fans, this thing. Yeah. Has magnets. It has, I fit. You can ride around different parts of the world. You can sort of screen. I think it's 22 inches,
[00:05:59] GB: [00:05:59] 25.
[00:06:00] We're not
[00:06:00] Josh Janssen: [00:06:00] just buying a bike. We're buying a TV, these types of purchases. If it's just me, it's going to be an uphill battle. Um, high inclined, as I say, I may have already ordered it. So if anyone, anyone in Melbourne, once my old bike, I am selling, I I'm selling it for 150. We sold the other bike though. 200 bucks, 199.
[00:06:23] I gave 200. Did you list it as
[00:06:25] Bree: [00:06:25] 199
[00:06:27] Josh Janssen: [00:06:27] for it? Did I, I'm not in charge the doorbell rings. I took the bike out of my office, put it into the lounge room. And I said, if you make me scream,
[00:06:41] GB: [00:06:41] Is that a normal technique? The one 99 you're you're a big seller on Gumtree, right?
[00:06:47] Bree: [00:06:47] Oh, Oh, I wouldn't go that far. Now we sold a few things before we went away on our world trip. That's about as far as it goes, um, one night out and yeah, it was a trick because I had it at 200 and I got no bites and I kid you not change it to one 99 and I got like seven.
[00:07:04] Mr. 97: [00:07:04] So what happened to everyone else? Cause you, you sold it and the pickup was seamless and then, and then you just had offices rolling
[00:07:11] Bree: [00:07:11] in. Yeah. Well the problem is I left it up. Cause what happened is I put it up just before he went away to Jalong for the weekend and then I was in holiday mode. So I was like, Oh, I'll get back to it.
[00:07:20] I I'll take it off later. Cause I knew the guy was Kane and we were like, he was like, I'll come Monday. I'll pick it up. I was like, all right, no worries. And then I had like seven other inquiries come through and there was one lady actually I felt really bad. She was really came. She messaged me. She called me.
[00:07:33] And then I was like, and then she texted me again. I was like, Oh my God, I'm so sorry. Like I haven't been at my phone, um, all weekend, but I just sold it. She was like, damn, I don't know why. I just didn't think anybody would be that interested. It's just a bike from my catch of the day.
[00:07:48] GB: [00:07:48] It's like, why was Josh in his room?
[00:07:50] And didn't come out
[00:07:52] Bree: [00:07:52] to the guy. It's a usual thing. So people come here. Like, even if I have people sometimes work here with me, he'll just sit in his office. I don't know why he's more introverted. I think then, um, people think he is. Yeah,
[00:08:02] GB: [00:08:02] fair enough.
[00:08:03] Bree: [00:08:03] I mean, I get it's coffee every day. So
[00:08:07] GB: [00:08:07] any other selling tips?
[00:08:08] I mean, mace you sold Joshua's Kindle. Yup.
[00:08:13] Bree: [00:08:13] Oh God,
[00:08:18] GB: [00:08:18] no,
[00:08:19] Mr. 97: [00:08:19] well, no, no, no. It was a gift gift from them to me.
[00:08:24] GB: [00:08:24] All right.
[00:08:25] Bree: [00:08:25] That's okay. Yeah, that makes sense.
[00:08:28] Mr. 97: [00:08:28] Well, I mean, it's sorta got lumped in with everything else.
[00:08:38] no, but it's, it sat there for a while and it was sort of with everything else that I was selling in. Yeah. Sort of misinterpreted that one now, but a tip probably would be, um, Facebook market.
[00:08:50] Bree: [00:08:50] Yeah. Next question, Georgia.
[00:08:54] Mr. 97: [00:08:54] Facebook marketplace is a good one. I would say like listing on there is really good.
[00:08:58] I've had better turnouts on marketplace than I have with Gumtree, but listed on both and see what works.
[00:09:04] GB: [00:09:04] Um,
[00:09:04] Bree: [00:09:04] and then why, because they like higher quality purchases or something like that, or people pay more or
[00:09:09] Mr. 97: [00:09:09] no, I think just more people. I think there's just more people scrolling on Facebook marketplace in their own Gumtree.
[00:09:15] Grace Peris: [00:09:15] Oh, sorry.
[00:09:16] Mr. 97: [00:09:16] There you go.
[00:09:17] Grace Peris: [00:09:17] One time. I've tried to use Facebook marketplace. My ad got taken down.
[00:09:22] Bree: [00:09:22] Oh,
[00:09:23] Grace Peris: [00:09:23] well, sorry. I got, I ordered. And then they sent me two pairs of the same shoe and they didn't, they were just like, Oh, whatever, just keep them. And then I was like, well, I don't need this second pair of shoe.
[00:09:33] Cause that was different size. I put them on Facebook marketplace and then it was like, Oh no, it's not allowed on there. And I was like, Oh, okay. Yeah. I
[00:09:42] GB: [00:09:42] didn't
[00:09:44] Bree: [00:09:44] know what it was.
[00:09:45] Grace Peris: [00:09:45] I didn't look any further. Cause I was like, you know what? There's too much admin here. I just, it doesn't it doesn't. Yeah,
[00:09:51] Bree: [00:09:51] Facebook's been pretty buggy account got taken down for no reason.
[00:09:56] So I think Facebook's just a little bit shit.
[00:10:00] GB: [00:10:00] And I'm, I'm similar to Josh in the sense that I've never, I never sell stuff. Like I'd rather just. Just let it sit there and, and be of good use, but I just can't be bothered filling it.
[00:10:11] Bree: [00:10:11] I think we often do lack a bunch of free books. Didn't we? Cause we were like, just before we went away for four months, Josh ages ago, actually like two years, three years ago, he bought a bunch of books cause he was going to start a bookstore.
[00:10:23] Like initially I think it was, he spent $3,000 on books and he was going to have a bookstand at his office. He worked at a tech company at the time and. Um, so he liked it. He basically told me afterwards,
[00:10:35] GB: [00:10:35] he wanted us to have the bookstand at the office, inside the office
[00:10:39] Bree: [00:10:39] to have like Christmas or something like that.
[00:10:42] Like classic Josh, just like one of those like shiny and quirky things he does. Um, and then he told me after he bought them. And that was like $3,000 on books. I think he was like, surprised that I was like shocked. Yeah. And so he ended up returning, but he could only return half of them. So like before they even shipped.
[00:11:02] So he got it. So he spent at 1500 bucks, it was like good books, like, um, show your work and life full of others, humans of New York, which actually think he returned. Um, so we got stuck with like, I can't even remember how many books once we had a whole box full.
[00:11:17] Mr. 97: [00:11:17] They're still in the office.
[00:11:19] GB: [00:11:19] Yeah, I do remember that.
[00:11:20] Grace Peris: [00:11:20] How have I not
[00:11:21] Jess Lucas: [00:11:21] heard this story before? That's hilarious. When was this?
[00:11:24] Bree: [00:11:24] It was
[00:11:25] GB: [00:11:25] 2017.
[00:11:26] Bree: [00:11:26] Yeah, it was, it must've been, and we've sort of just hung on to them. Um, and like people come to our house and like, if you come to our house, you get a gift, you get like three books. It was like, I remember the titles of them.
[00:11:37] GB: [00:11:37] Yeah. I've got four of them. I think.
[00:11:42] Bree: [00:11:42] And like, um, Seneca was one of the books, so good books. Um, and then I think we were going overseas and we still had the box and we were like to George, Hey, we know your mom's got a bookshop. Like, if you want, you can just take those books. And then I don't know if anything happened. We're done. They just stayed.
[00:11:55] GB: [00:11:55] Okay. I think I just left him in the office. I didn't take him. But then I was like, I think I asked him, I'm like a few months later. I was like, do you want these books? Do you want to
[00:12:03] Bree: [00:12:03] buy this book?
[00:12:04] GB: [00:12:04] And she was like, Oh yeah, yeah, we can buy them. And then I sort of just.
[00:12:08] Bree: [00:12:08] Yeah, no, we just moved him to everybody.
[00:12:10] He comes to our house for dinner. If you're just like dropping something off at our house, we were like, Hey, she's like a book that's got shiny. So generous.
[00:12:18] Mr. 97: [00:12:18] What do you do? What do you do with Josh? Has these like quirky things that he really gets into. And it's just like either an outrageous investment and tie of time, or just like, you know, buying three grand of books.
[00:12:30] Bree: [00:12:30] Uh, I mean, I only happen every so often, so it's not crazy. He's definitely gotten a lot better with his spending. Um, cause there was a time that he chose, he bought like a camera, I think it was like 15 grand or something, but it was like, it was before. So during this time it's different. So he had a video production business and they sort of took a break from doing video and was working at the tech company.
[00:12:50] I'm like a content side. It was during the time too that he just switched from the radio station. So I was like, I'm going to take a break from filmmaking. I'm just going to do these content things. Who's doing that. And then, because he wasn't doing like filming and stuff at work, he was like, ah, I just want to like, do some filming as like a hobby.
[00:13:06] And so he bought the camera. And so that was 15 grand and then it was a very expensive hobby, but it ended up turning out to be like, he just felt inspired again. And that sort of what triggered him, I think, to also like then leave the company he was at and then start his own business. And with that camera, like, obviously he liked made the money back, but he just does these things.
[00:13:25] Sometimes it's just Josh, but I trust him implicitly, like Moise, like, Oh, something will come from it. Like. The book is a different story with the books, any of them instead, that would experience
[00:13:37] Jess Lucas: [00:13:37] knowledge now. Surely
[00:13:39] Bree: [00:13:39] yes. Yes. We'll look at all the books behind us. We have,
[00:13:43] GB: [00:13:43] but he does have these like big visions.
[00:13:44] And I think when he, he goes through with it, like if you buy something, he knows what he's going to do with it. Yeah. Yeah. Like the camera stuff, but
[00:13:51] Bree: [00:13:51] he thinks big. Yeah, exactly. I'm trying to think of what else he sort of does, but he's just, he does a few little bits and pieces, but they're the two that
[00:13:58] GB: [00:13:58] spring to mind.
[00:14:00] Are you a big spender?
[00:14:02] Bree: [00:14:02] Um,
[00:14:03] Mr. 97: [00:14:03] here we go.
[00:14:04] Bree: [00:14:04] St. Will st. Normally a relationship. You have one that's like a bit more sensible with money, and then when it's a bit more crazy, I would say I'm definitely more sensible than he is. Maybe like the bougiest thing that I've bought is skincare. That I've just sort of invested in, which is rationale skincare, which was a big thing for me.
[00:14:22] Cause I was like, Oh, I dunno. But it's been great. I love it. That's worth every cent.
[00:14:28] Mr. 97: [00:14:28] Yeah. That's
[00:14:29] GB: [00:14:29] good. Yeah. Do you guys have a shared bank account?
[00:14:32] Bree: [00:14:32] Yeah, everything is shared.
[00:14:34] GB: [00:14:34] Oh, really?
[00:14:34] Bree: [00:14:34] Yeah. So we don't have any,
[00:14:36] GB: [00:14:36] when did you join up?
[00:14:37] Bree: [00:14:37] I think we kept going overseas together and it was sort of like annoying.
[00:14:41] Cause then it was like trying to keep tally or like just bits and pieces of like, Oh, I've got this and that. And then it sort of all works out all the time. Yeah. Um, and then I think he could tell us a bit stressed about it at the time I worked sort of, um, for a fashion company and I was sort of on like a lowish sort of income.
[00:14:56] Um, and I remember after the trippiest, like. Um, I want you to know that I would love to join finances with you and , it was very sweat. And I was like, Oh no. He's like, Oh, like, you know, whatever's mine is yours, whatever you like, yours is mine. And I was like, okay. And then we just did it. And we haven't looked back since it's easier to get a light nearly 13 years this year.
[00:15:19] So for us, it's like, it's easy.
[00:15:22] GB: [00:15:22] Yeah. Nah, I reckon we're still main. Hannah is still separate. Yeah, they're still separate, but, um, but it just, it is a works out. Like we're just always. Yeah. Shouting each other.
[00:15:36] Bree: [00:15:36] Yeah. Yeah. What about you? Grayson says, have you joined? Yeah. Nice,
[00:15:40] Grace Peris: [00:15:40] nice, nice. Got an email today. He was very excited.
[00:15:51] GB: [00:15:51] email said
[00:15:52] Grace Peris: [00:15:52] no,
[00:15:53] Mr. 97: [00:15:53] no. It was just one of the newsletters that op bank puts out. They say, when, you know, in like Nick 20, 21 next year, that that's when they're going to be releasing the. Joint bank accounts. So
[00:16:04] GB: [00:16:04] they don't have joint bank accounts.
[00:16:07] Mr. 97: [00:16:07] It's very ugly.
[00:16:10] Bree: [00:16:10] It's USL
[00:16:11] Grace Peris: [00:16:11] it, otherwise
[00:16:11] JV.
[00:16:12] GB: [00:16:12] I was, I saw what you guys wait, hung out on the weekend and they both had the up bank, a little.
[00:16:17] Apple pay stuff going. And I was like 20, 21. I'm getting into up banker. I can, yeah, all my finances, you know, transferring it over. What's the interest like good interest.
[00:16:28] Mr. 97: [00:16:28] I mean, no one's offering good interests except I think Westpac might have a 3%,
[00:16:34] GB: [00:16:34] I think anyway.
[00:16:35] Bree: [00:16:35] And Jay's good.
[00:16:36] GB: [00:16:36] I N G is good.
[00:16:37] Mr. 97: [00:16:37] Yeah.
[00:16:38] Bree: [00:16:38] You smile, you splurge, you know, all those sort of accounts, but I need to sort out
[00:16:41] GB: [00:16:41] like separating stuff.
[00:16:43] I don't separate stuff.
[00:16:44] Mr. 97: [00:16:44] Episode of hump day brought to you by future advisory.
[00:16:50] Grace Peris: [00:16:50] Well up account and you can have your separate savers.
[00:16:53] GB: [00:16:53] Yeah. Yeah. And don't you don't you like invest in stocks and stuff, doesn't it like? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:17:00] Mr. 97: [00:17:00] Like, like when the salary comes in, you can split it between, you know, your different savings and all that sort of, yeah.
[00:17:06] GB: [00:17:06] Yeah. That's too smart, too smart for me.
[00:17:09] Bree: [00:17:09] I need to definitely be better with money
[00:17:12] GB: [00:17:12] stocks. I should get into stocks. Anyway,
[00:17:17] Grace Peris: [00:17:17] next episode of
[00:17:17] Bree: [00:17:17] Humpday
[00:17:20] GB: [00:17:20] speaking of spending, uh, you did mention before about the coffee. How you're always getting just coffee, especially in this time of working from home. Uh, you've been getting it a lot. So here's a few of my favorite times that you got coffee is, um, Josh's coffee,
[00:17:36] Mr. 97: [00:17:36] a part of your tape, like getting him
[00:17:38] GB: [00:17:38] in handy
[00:17:39] Bree: [00:17:39] is that actually every work that in
[00:17:42] Josh Janssen: [00:17:42] it was getting coffee for us.
[00:17:43] Bri went and got our coffee. You got my coffee.
[00:17:46] GB: [00:17:46] Didn't ask
[00:17:47] Josh Janssen: [00:17:47] for it, but Brie gave it to me. Thanks. Appreciate it. Yeah. Thank you very for the coffee. Thank you, bruiser for the coffee. Thank you. Bruiser for the coffee. You got a text message from Ben Fordham. Buy your own fucking coffee. Bread is not your mom.
[00:17:59] Oh, your personal assistant. As soon as she got out of the shower, I jumped in the shower. The idea was that when I was in the shower, she was going to go and get coffee. She emptied the dishwasher
[00:18:08] Mr. 97: [00:18:08] with the friction
[00:18:09] Josh Janssen: [00:18:09] then became that. I don't have did the dishwasher. I've said it before. And
[00:18:13] GB: [00:18:13] I'll say it again.
[00:18:15] Bree: [00:18:15] I love chores.
[00:18:20] Oh, that's funny. Yeah. I wish he loved childrens.
[00:18:24] GB: [00:18:24] Really? What what's um, what's your favorite chore?
[00:18:30] Bree: [00:18:30] I don't have a favorite chore. Like he seems something because I'm clean or tidy that I seem to love it. Like cleaning the bathroom, cleaning the toilet. Like I'm like, woo. This is so much fun. It's not vacuuming.
[00:18:41] I don't enjoy cleaning the kitchen. I don't, I just do it
[00:18:44] GB: [00:18:44] because
[00:18:45] Bree: [00:18:45] there's two of us in his household and someone's going to do it. So I do it. He,
[00:18:53] I could hear him talking. I haven't listened to the episode yet, but I could hear him talking about, um, on the daily talk show the other day, talking about the mechanic. Because I'd asked him if he
[00:19:02] GB: [00:19:02] could call.
[00:19:04] Bree: [00:19:04] Yeah. I know you guys were giving him advice on like, sort of, ah, well, I don't know. I haven't listened yet, but I was science.
[00:19:09] Yeah. He got mad at me because I asked him, I reminded him for like over a three week span if he could call the mechanic.
[00:19:17] GB: [00:19:17] So what's it like living with a guy who has to be given praise every time he does a task that just has to get done.
[00:19:24] Bree: [00:19:24] See, the thing is winning. I do give
[00:19:26] Grace Peris: [00:19:26] him praise. He's like, no, no, no, no, don't
[00:19:28] Bree: [00:19:28] die.
[00:19:29] I don't do it for this. So it's really confusing because he says one thing and then he sort of does another, so I'm not really sure. He's just. Ever since I've met him, he's never been good at chores. And unfortunately I met him at 16, so
[00:19:43] Mr. 97: [00:19:43] what's, what's an onboarding process. Like, like how, how, how can we get Josh?
[00:19:47] How can we onboard them onto doing chores?
[00:19:49] GB: [00:19:49] Oh yeah.
[00:19:50] Mr. 97: [00:19:50] Like the vacuuming. Cause, cause before we grace and I came in. Uh, stayed at your place, like you said, you mentioned that Josh did the vacuuming.
[00:19:59] Bree: [00:19:59] Yeah, he did. Do we
[00:19:59] Grace Peris: [00:19:59] have to stay at yours? More brake
[00:20:03] Bree: [00:20:03] solution? Yeah. If you could, that'd be great. That's cleaned up.
[00:20:07] So you got some come stay anytime.
[00:20:09] Grace Peris: [00:20:09] Um,
[00:20:10] Bree: [00:20:10] I think, yeah, we did. He's hard. I don't know because he's like, if I had a whiteboard, I'd do it, but I had a little. It's hard. We try to apps. We've tried like, even just like writing things down or like he says, I know who has talked about having like this weekly meeting or like once a month meeting or something through everything.
[00:20:31] Yeah.
[00:20:32] GB: [00:20:32] Jack post, just telling this story about how Bianca said Jack. And Bianca I'll be in a Slack channel.
[00:20:40] Bree: [00:20:40] I'd get around that. Maybe he would do it. But I feel like, I don't know either if I'm nagging him, which he calls nagging, which is sometimes just asking. Um, yeah. Then if we had a Slack channel or whatever, I don't think it would make a difference.
[00:20:53] I think regardless I would still nagging.
[00:20:55] Grace Peris: [00:20:55] So that's
[00:20:57] Jess Lucas: [00:20:57] bots.
[00:20:58] Bree: [00:20:58] Yeah. Yeah. So, but currently I sent too many to our invites, so we can't do that. So that's not a good option for
[00:21:04] Mr. 97: [00:21:04] him and he's not in the sauna either. So that's a problem. What about, okay, hang on. What are your thoughts on the robotic vacuum cleaners?
[00:21:11] Oh,
[00:21:11] GB: [00:21:11] yeah. Had one.
[00:21:13] Mr. 97: [00:21:13] George you've had one,
[00:21:18] GB: [00:21:18] 2008. Well that's well, that's problem
[00:21:21] Bree: [00:21:21] Rumba.
[00:21:22] GB: [00:21:22] Yeah, but that's the best thing that wouldn't have worked back then. That's a lot of money on it
[00:21:26] Mr. 97: [00:21:26] when it gets a Dyson. It's like a grand anyway. Yeah. But I mean, I saw
[00:21:30] Grace Peris: [00:21:30] Rebecca Jod have one of the robotic ones. Didn't she love
[00:21:34] Bree: [00:21:34] it.
[00:21:35] GB: [00:21:35] Oh, I can tell you no, that
[00:21:37] Jess Lucas: [00:21:37] comes every second day as well.
[00:21:39] So those few crumbs, the kids drop that one.
[00:21:44] Bree: [00:21:44] Roomba would be fun. Like, I dunno, we've got a stick vacuum that you just like plug in. Like, it's not like you have to like, and it's wireless or whatever when you vacuum the whole house. So it's not like you have to deal with like an annoying quarter or anything.
[00:21:56] So it's very simple
[00:21:57] Jess Lucas: [00:21:57] and things away as well. Yeah. Yeah. Somewhat biggest thing I hate about vacuuming is like the packaging at work, pulling it out and packing it away.
[00:22:06] Bree: [00:22:06] That doesn't happen here. It's very easy. And like Grayson serves, cleaned out all the shit in the vacuum fresh. I came back, I was like, Oh my God, is this fucking working better than it was?
[00:22:17] Yeah.
[00:22:18] GB: [00:22:18] I remember the first time at the old office. Oh, Josh is first off, not for herself as diet straight, the shared office where she's freelancing. Um, and I was doing a bit of work for him. I walked in and he was mopping. It was like, this big house is huge and he was, um, mopping like the whole floor, but he's just going in like, Just random spots and then just like walking over it and it's just like sober.
[00:22:43] Bree: [00:22:43] It's like,
[00:22:43] GB: [00:22:43] how do you, how do you most, like, you gotta go in, got to go in and like,
[00:22:49] Bree: [00:22:49] yeah, he needs to get better way to help him with tools, but he does many other great things. So I'm like, and I am, but I know also that I'm a bit of a pain in the ass. So I'm like if I like things a certain way, um, then sometimes just easier by doing them.
[00:23:04] It's less kind of. And then I can just relax a bit because I'm like, well, take me two seconds. Sometimes it's just easier if I leave tomorrow and I'd have to do it. So that's why I travel.
[00:23:14] GB: [00:23:14] Yeah, no, I need to get better. Definitely toilet toilet sink,
[00:23:19] Bree: [00:23:19] because I thought you and Hannah shared.
[00:23:21] GB: [00:23:21] Yeah. I mean,
[00:23:26] she's, she's definitely better at like cleaning. Bathroom, definitely bathroom. She'll she'll do the toilet. Okay. Um,
[00:23:33] Mr. 97: [00:23:33] what does that mean better? Cause surely like get just wiping.
[00:23:37] GB: [00:23:37] Yeah. Now she's better at just being on Twitter and just getting Dasher and like caring more about it than me, but
[00:23:43] Mr. 97: [00:23:43] you're a bit of a loser when you clean the bathroom.
[00:23:46] She's not really giving it a proper clean.
[00:23:48] GB: [00:23:48] Well, it just, I just don't really do it unless you ask I'll do the, I'll do the dishes.
[00:23:56] Bree: [00:23:56] It's
[00:23:56] GB: [00:23:56] good. Pretty good at dishes.
[00:23:57] Bree: [00:23:57] She does. She's washing.
[00:23:59] GB: [00:23:59] She does washing
[00:24:01] Bree: [00:24:01] Josh. Does that? Not often.
[00:24:03] Mr. 97: [00:24:03] Unlike the washing, the washing scribe.
[00:24:06] Bree: [00:24:06] Josh, I have
[00:24:08] Grace Peris: [00:24:08] to tell you to do the washing.
[00:24:09] Bree: [00:24:09] Otherwise it sits there, but,
[00:24:12] Mr. 97: [00:24:12] but I put it in the machine and then sometimes hanging out and then I love when it's sunny and put it in the sun and
[00:24:17] Bree: [00:24:17] it's done
[00:24:18] Grace Peris: [00:24:18] sometimes hangs it out and then you go, and then I'm like, how long has it been in the washing machine? It's like, Oh, I think like four hours, two hours.
[00:24:27] So it doesn't smell
[00:24:27] Bree: [00:24:27] like
[00:24:29] Grace Peris: [00:24:29] I've smelled prides. It's your
[00:24:30] Bree: [00:24:30] fault.
[00:24:31] Mr. 97: [00:24:31] It's about, it's about six to seven hours before that smell comes in. Hey,
[00:24:35] GB: [00:24:35] you guys have a clothes line. Nice.
[00:24:37] Mr. 97: [00:24:37] Yeah. Yeah, we do. But the, so this is, they didn't think through the clothes line, cause it seem the shade.
[00:24:43] GB: [00:24:43] Oh, ah.
[00:24:44] Mr. 97: [00:24:44] So wait, wait, we have those like why racks that you get from like K-Mart or whatever you just put it.
[00:24:49] Out on the lawn and the sun dries quicker. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:24:54] GB: [00:24:54] Good tip. Well, I thought we could play a bit of a game guys. It's a really good game. Um, I mean last week. Nice. We did decide that Nick from next year will be getting rid of trivia.
[00:25:07] Mr. 97: [00:25:07] Yes. This
[00:25:09] GB: [00:25:09] have going down well, but this isn't really trivia. This is more of a team building exercise.
[00:25:14] Okay. Um, and so you guys can all work together. And the game is you have to put the price of these coffee orders in order
[00:25:25] Grace Peris: [00:25:25] press has got
[00:25:26] Jess Lucas: [00:25:26] an advantage for her. Cause she does it every morning.
[00:25:28] GB: [00:25:28] I thought this was I'd applied to brace strength. Yeah. So do we have
[00:25:32] Mr. 97: [00:25:32] this George?
[00:25:33] GB: [00:25:33] Yes. You know what? There's no opener.
[00:25:36] I tried, I couldn't think of it, but I've just got some background music to play and say, here we go. Okay.
[00:25:43] Mr. 97: [00:25:43] Awesome. I want to sit background.
[00:25:46] GB: [00:25:46] Yeah, it's very loud. I'll just turn that down. All right. Welcome everyone to coffee orders. How long
[00:25:52] Mr. 97: [00:25:52] is this loop or how long is this go
[00:25:54] GB: [00:25:54] for? It's a four minute track.
[00:25:55] Okay. Um, all right. So these are, these are the coffees, right? So you've got to go in, uh, most expensive to cheapest. I think
[00:26:03] Grace Peris: [00:26:03] I'll wait, guessing the price. Are you just giving,
[00:26:05] GB: [00:26:05] are you giving us maybe guests? The price first, and then from there we can like put them in order.
[00:26:12] Bree: [00:26:12] Okay. And most expensive to cheapest.
[00:26:14] Is that right? Yeah.
[00:26:15] GB: [00:26:15] Okay. I'll just go one by one and then we can figure it out as we go. Okay.
[00:26:18] Mr. 97: [00:26:18] Do we need to write this down? How are we,
[00:26:19] GB: [00:26:19] how are we going to do?
[00:26:21] Mr. 97: [00:26:21] Okay. I'll just write it in a brace. Just scrambling for a piece of paper.
[00:26:25] Bree: [00:26:25] The pen is all the way.
[00:26:28] GB: [00:26:28] All right. First, first coffee. From AEU 79, a small arm and latte.
[00:26:36] What are we thinking guys?
[00:26:37] Jess Lucas: [00:26:37] I'm thinking, do I say that out loud guys? I think it's like at four 80,
[00:26:43] Grace Peris: [00:26:43] I was gonna say $5. Yeah. $85
[00:26:46] Jess Lucas: [00:26:46] or 80. Cause it's a small, so I thought that they wouldn't go above five surely,
[00:26:50] Mr. 97: [00:26:50] um, almonds, almonds,
[00:26:54] Bree: [00:26:54] surely 50 cents, 50 cents.
[00:26:55] Grace Peris: [00:26:55] Yeah. Brilliant.
[00:26:56] Mr. 97: [00:26:56] All right. 50 cents. George what's happened to the music.
[00:27:03] Grace Peris: [00:27:03] so what are we thinking?
[00:27:04] Bree: [00:27:04] I was thinking four 50, but is that too low? Okay, Sydney,
[00:27:07] Mr. 97: [00:27:07] what about for it?
[00:27:09] Jess Lucas: [00:27:09] Yeah, let's go four 80 in the
[00:27:10] Grace Peris: [00:27:10] middle.
[00:27:11] Mr. 97: [00:27:11] Are we happy with that? Looking for it
[00:27:13] GB: [00:27:13] for Eddie's looked in. Perfect. Next one. McDonald's small cappuccino.
[00:27:19] Bree: [00:27:19] Two
[00:27:19] Grace Peris: [00:27:19] bucks.
[00:27:20] Bree: [00:27:20] No.
[00:27:20] Mr. 97: [00:27:20] Oh, the cafe. Yeah. Yeah, at least three 50
[00:27:27] Bree: [00:27:27] or three 80
[00:27:28] Grace Peris: [00:27:28] coffee
[00:27:29] Mr. 97: [00:27:29] at
[00:27:30] Bree: [00:27:30] that milk lab.
[00:27:32] Mr. 97: [00:27:32] That's true.
[00:27:32] GB: [00:27:32] They cook their milks to the buddy brink. It's like 150 degrees milk. Yeah. Um, what do you, what are you looking at?
[00:27:42] Bree: [00:27:42] Three 83
[00:27:43] Jess Lucas: [00:27:43] 80. And we've
[00:27:47] GB: [00:27:47] um, in the latte from the eight 71. Oh, is that just
[00:27:49] Mr. 97: [00:27:49] normal milk by the way? Cap just normal.
[00:27:52] GB: [00:27:52] Yeah. Yeah. Uh, pep loves duck. Raise local. A match, a child lighter.
[00:27:59] Grace Peris: [00:27:59] I'll gosh,
[00:28:00] Bree: [00:28:00] God, I don't drink
[00:28:01] Grace Peris: [00:28:01] a lot. I like four 50 and then matches on top of that.
[00:28:05] Bree: [00:28:05] Well,
[00:28:06] GB: [00:28:06] and
[00:28:07] Bree: [00:28:07] put a bit more sugar on it too. Cause pebbles is expensive.
[00:28:10] My cost me to give you an idea. I got two iced coffee, not too large almond caps from there on the weekend. Cost me 1285.
[00:28:19] Grace Peris: [00:28:19] Yeah. Is that a weekend surcharge or dunno?
[00:28:23] Mr. 97: [00:28:23] Okay. So wait, are we thinking above $6 50?
[00:28:26] Grace Peris: [00:28:26] Maybe
[00:28:27] Jess Lucas: [00:28:27] six 50.
[00:28:28] Bree: [00:28:28] What size did she say?
[00:28:31] GB: [00:28:31] It's just one size. I'm pretty sure.
[00:28:32] Bree: [00:28:32] Just like six bucks.
[00:28:34] Jess Lucas: [00:28:34] Yeah.
[00:28:36] Mr. 97: [00:28:36] Six,
[00:28:36] Bree: [00:28:36] six, six 56,
[00:28:38] Jess Lucas: [00:28:38] 56, 56
[00:28:40] GB: [00:28:40] 58.
[00:28:40] Yeah.
[00:28:42] Mr. 97: [00:28:42] Great.
[00:28:42] GB: [00:28:42] Next one from Starbucks, a caramel macchiato, venti.
[00:28:47] Grace Peris: [00:28:47] Oh, yummy venti,
[00:28:48] GB: [00:28:48] 591 mil. Oh,
[00:28:50] Grace Peris: [00:28:50] that was
[00:28:53] GB: [00:28:53] the biggest one. It's like coffee, actually, a good point. I don't know,
[00:29:00] Bree: [00:29:00] stricken
[00:29:01] Jess Lucas: [00:29:01] in around 70 Shia.
[00:29:03] Bree: [00:29:03] Seven 20. Okay. Yeah.
[00:29:05] Mr. 97: [00:29:05] Seven 20. We're lucky in seven 20.
[00:29:07] GB: [00:29:07] Yeah. Okay. With Tony, right?
[00:29:10] Grace Peris: [00:29:10] Uh,
[00:29:12] Bree: [00:29:12] Oh.
[00:29:16] Grace Peris: [00:29:16] eight 40.
[00:29:17] Jess Lucas: [00:29:17] Oh yes.
[00:29:19] Grace Peris: [00:29:19] That would be caramel.
[00:29:21] Mr. 97: [00:29:21] No, that's true. Terrible.
[00:29:24] GB: [00:29:24] Yeah. All right. This one is from Gian Carlo at the airport, Melbourne airport, that large, large chocolate.
[00:29:34] Mr. 97: [00:29:34] Oh, large hot chocolate. This is my arena. Um,
[00:29:36] GB: [00:29:36] come on, mace
[00:29:38] Grace Peris: [00:29:38] porphyria, all three,
[00:29:42] Mr. 97: [00:29:42] over $4, 50,
[00:29:44] GB: [00:29:44] a hundred percent. When I touch up from the airport,
[00:29:46] Mr. 97: [00:29:46] Oregon arguing, you're thinking about five bucks, maybe five 20.
[00:29:51] Bree: [00:29:51] Yeah.
[00:29:54] GB: [00:29:54] Great.
[00:29:54] Mr. 97: [00:29:54] Yeah, you
[00:29:55] Jess Lucas: [00:29:55] could be higher
[00:29:57] Grace Peris: [00:29:57] than four. It's higher than the five something.
[00:30:00] Mr. 97: [00:30:00] We got five 80 again. Okay. Five
[00:30:03] Bree: [00:30:03] 85
[00:30:05] Grace Peris: [00:30:05] 80 before mace?
[00:30:06] Mr. 97: [00:30:06] No. Well, we did four 85, 80,
[00:30:11] Jess Lucas: [00:30:11] 80 cents for some reason, which is just weird. Yeah.
[00:30:14] GB: [00:30:14] Yeah. All right, grace, this one's for you. This one's from Tisch Tisch school.
[00:30:20] Bree: [00:30:20] Oh, yeah,
[00:30:21] GB: [00:30:21] it's a single origin long Mack topped.
[00:30:24] Ah, sorry. Surely
[00:30:29] Mr. 97: [00:30:29] I dunno what the location of the beans.
[00:30:35] Grace Peris: [00:30:35] Ah, it's a bit more expensive.
[00:30:38] Mr. 97: [00:30:38] Do they usually have mixed blends of beans from multiple
[00:30:41] GB: [00:30:41] wedges.
[00:30:43] Grace Peris: [00:30:43] And is it regular size? Yep. I'd say, I'd say four 50 or four 80, to
[00:30:47] Mr. 97: [00:30:47] be honest. We've got four 84,
[00:30:50] Grace Peris: [00:30:50] 84, 80,
[00:30:52] GB: [00:30:52] and finally, uh, from clogs, uh, espresso short black.
[00:30:58] Jess Lucas: [00:30:58] Okay guys, I'll take this one. $3 50. I think
[00:31:04] Mr. 97: [00:31:04] I should
[00:31:04] Bree: [00:31:04] price
[00:31:06] GB: [00:31:06] Bendigo price. Okay. I'm just going to read it. I'm not borrowing putting them in order. I'll just read them out till we hang up
[00:31:12] Grace Peris: [00:31:12] if we've got them. Right.
[00:31:13] GB: [00:31:13] So for, so for 80 79, you said four 80 for a small almond latte. It's actually,
[00:31:20] Bree: [00:31:20] Ooh,
[00:31:21] Jess Lucas: [00:31:21] bloody cars guys.
[00:31:22] Good job though.
[00:31:22] GB: [00:31:22] Good. Yeah, we got Ash finder, um, from MCAS. Three 80 race. You thought it was like two bucks? Yeah. Um, small cappuccino, $4 25,
[00:31:35] Grace Peris: [00:31:35] 25
[00:31:36] GB: [00:31:36] is, is a ripper
[00:31:37] Mr. 97: [00:31:37] scam. Absolutely scanned
[00:31:39] Jess Lucas: [00:31:39] milk.
[00:31:40] GB: [00:31:40] It is always
[00:31:44] Mr. 97: [00:31:44] milk lab milk lab. You paid for
[00:31:46] Grace Peris: [00:31:46] the milk club. Um,
[00:31:48] GB: [00:31:48] so under, on both so far. Have loves duck, matcha chai latte.
[00:31:52] You said six 50 it's uh, six 50.
[00:31:59] Grace Peris: [00:31:59] Yay.
[00:32:01] GB: [00:32:01] Great job. Um, Starbucks caramel macchiato, venti 591 mil. You said eight 40. It's a bargain at $7.
[00:32:11] Mr. 97: [00:32:11] Wow. Yeah, sorry, Jess.
[00:32:16] Bree: [00:32:16] All
[00:32:16] Jess Lucas: [00:32:16] right. We can make a really good justification. Maybe they aren't making enough money on it.
[00:32:23] Mr. 97: [00:32:23] Yeah.
[00:32:24] GB: [00:32:24] So much value. Um, all right. Where are we from? Gian Carlo coffee in the airport.
[00:32:32] Uh, $5 80, you said Chucky six $80 off
[00:32:39] Mr. 97: [00:32:39] 700 bucks for a hot chocolate. It's a large guys. We forgot large box for a lodge. That's quite expensive.
[00:32:46] Jess Lucas: [00:32:46] Chocolate premium chocolate from black. What's gone on this.
[00:32:50] Mr. 97: [00:32:50] Definitely not. Um, What's that brand and starting with M MOC more, more, more,
[00:32:55] GB: [00:32:55] definitely not more. Now that'd be about 15 bucks.
[00:32:59] Um, alright. Teske, Tisch,
[00:33:04] Bree: [00:33:04] I think. Yeah.
[00:33:05] Grace Peris: [00:33:05] I've never been there to be honest. So I know that it's from
[00:33:08] Bree: [00:33:08] her.
[00:33:09] GB: [00:33:09] Yes. Uh, long single origin, long Mac topped up. You said four 80. Uh, it's actually five 50. I, that was the single origin. It would have been $5 if you've got the standard
[00:33:22] Mr. 97: [00:33:22] Balti origin.
[00:33:26] GB: [00:33:26] Um, so what's the standard over there?
[00:33:27] Four
[00:33:27] Grace Peris: [00:33:27] 54 58. Usually I pay four 50 for my long max top darts,
[00:33:31] GB: [00:33:31] but anyway, single origin, I
[00:33:34] Grace Peris: [00:33:34] dunno.
[00:33:36] GB: [00:33:36] Finally, clogs in Bendigo espresso. You said $3 50 guys. Not gonna believe it's $4 50 for a shot of coffee from,
[00:33:47] Josh Janssen: [00:33:47] uh,
[00:33:47] Bree: [00:33:47] plugs
[00:33:49] Mr. 97: [00:33:49] offering pizza shop.
[00:33:50] Bree: [00:33:50] It's sexy. Isn't it? The cheapest place to go was seven 11.
[00:33:53] GB: [00:33:53] Yep. Yeah,
[00:33:54] Jess Lucas: [00:33:54] I don't mind the seven 11 coffee at the ice ones.
[00:33:57] Have you had it?
[00:33:58] Grace Peris: [00:33:58] Oh, no,
[00:33:59] Jess Lucas: [00:33:59] just ice. Put the hot water. The hot water though. Like yeah, the coffee, hot stuff that comes
[00:34:07] Bree: [00:34:07] top
[00:34:08] Jess Lucas: [00:34:08] and then almond milk, whatever it is mixed with man. Chuck historian. Oh, great. Yeah, it's really good
[00:34:14] Mr. 97: [00:34:14] to
[00:34:14] Jess Lucas: [00:34:14] like, if you're on the go, like obviously have logs in like wherever you get your coffee from is probably better, but, um, yeah, if you just on the fly really good.
[00:34:23] Yeah.
[00:34:25] Bree: [00:34:25] Great
[00:34:25] GB: [00:34:25] dirty coffee.
[00:34:26] Bree: [00:34:26] Yeah. You get to
[00:34:27] Mr. 97: [00:34:27] know TJ is just coming off the back of a month without coffee. Yeah. Yeah. Very impressive. Bree, have you had a think about any habits that you've picked up or anything you want to stop moving into 2021?
[00:34:42] Jess Lucas: [00:34:42] Um,
[00:34:45] Mr. 97: [00:34:45] any resolutions
[00:34:46] Bree: [00:34:46] I'm ashamed to say it, but order less Uber eats and cook at home.
[00:34:51] Mr. 97: [00:34:51] Oh, yeah, that's a
[00:34:52] GB: [00:34:52] great one.
[00:34:53] Bree: [00:34:53] Yeah. I'm a platinum and
[00:35:00] GB: [00:35:00] diamond and platinum as well.
[00:35:01] Bree: [00:35:01] Yeah. I'm platinum. It's almost like it's disgusting. It's almost like I'm not proud of it. It's like, Oh, it's like a real, I'm getting high. Yeah, it makes me panic. I'm not proud of it. Like if I was like gold or platinum with Virgin, I'd be like, Oh yeah, cool. But there's something I don't know, gross about this.
[00:35:20] Uber eats top team member. Um, so yeah, that would be one. Yeah. I want to go to the gym again. Minimum five days a week. I used to go between five and six.
[00:35:32] GB: [00:35:32] Do you guys have a gym at your apartment?
[00:35:34] Bree: [00:35:34] No. No. I got her a good little gym though. And I do try
[00:35:37] Jess Lucas: [00:35:37] next year.
[00:35:43] and
[00:35:44] Mr. 97: [00:35:44] it's actually,
[00:35:46] Bree: [00:35:46] and it's got a fan it's really? Yeah, it's going to be contrived to
[00:35:49] Grace Peris: [00:35:49] Utah, Colorado.
[00:35:51] Bree: [00:35:51] It's going to be awesome.
[00:35:53] Jess Lucas: [00:35:53] How do you feel about Josh inviting people over to use
[00:35:55] Bree: [00:35:55] it? Oh, okay. With that. I mean, I don't mind having people over. He he's the one, that's more funny about people coming here than I am, so it's fine.
[00:36:04] Um, you guys were welcome to come and give it a spin. Thank you. it's fun. Yeah. It's fun. I'll have to send you black shorts. Are you taking grace and you look great in them. You need to, haven't seen me nor you would. You just sort of photo
[00:36:21] Grace Peris: [00:36:21] now.
[00:36:21] Bree: [00:36:21] She didn't. I keep asking it anyway.
[00:36:25] Grace Peris: [00:36:25] Um, new year's resolutions, everyone.
[00:36:28] Bree: [00:36:28] Oh yeah. That's it. That's just the, um, Oh actually, yeah, read more. Definitely. I mean, that's fine. The typical one, like,
[00:36:38] GB: [00:36:38] um, what about, um, yeah, it's Patty. Yeah. I mean, I'm keen for when we have our break, which got announced this week as well. We're having a break on the 19th until the 11th of Jen knows no social media.
[00:36:54] Bree: [00:36:54] I agree with that. Yeah. Yeah. Good one
[00:36:56] GB: [00:36:56] fired up for that. Yeah.
[00:36:58] Mr. 97: [00:36:58] Delete Instagram off the phone.
[00:37:00] GB: [00:37:00] Yep. Yep. I think, um, I think that'd be good. That's great
[00:37:04] Bree: [00:37:04] for us too, because it's like, we all work in that sort of industry where we're all like, sort of tapped into like social media all the time. It's like, It's a based,
[00:37:13] Mr. 97: [00:37:13] yeah.
[00:37:13] Oh yeah. I mean, George, you were saying, you were saying the other day about how many pickups people have on their phone. Like the amount of times you unlock your screen and pick it up.
[00:37:22] GB: [00:37:22] Yeah. You guys had to look at that. Like, you know, he can say screen time, you can also say like pickups, that's
[00:37:27] Bree: [00:37:27] a real worry.
[00:37:28] GB: [00:37:28] Like we were doing it the other day with some friends and. It was like 200 times a day. I
[00:37:34] Bree: [00:37:34] think mine would be more
[00:37:35] GB: [00:37:35] shamefully.
[00:37:36] Mr. 97: [00:37:36] Really?
[00:37:37] Bree: [00:37:37] Yeah. And sometimes it's like just dumb stuff. Like I know that I should be cleaning the house with it. And sometimes just getting like these four techs, I'm not even enjoying what I'm scrolling.
[00:37:44] I'm just sitting there just doing dumb shit.
[00:37:48] Jess Lucas: [00:37:48] Do you ever like before in the new app check Instagram and then you go check Facebook, then LinkedIn, then you start condo you then. Oh yeah. Then back to any emails and then yeah. And you have to go in this weird loop.
[00:37:59] Mr. 97: [00:37:59] Yeah. Really?
[00:38:00] Grace Peris: [00:38:00] Yeah. Well, you get bored of scrolling.
[00:38:01] See, go back to the home screen. And then sometimes I just go back to Instagram. I was just on here. I was just on yellow
[00:38:08] Jess Lucas: [00:38:08] refresh it. It's the same.
[00:38:10] GB: [00:38:10] Yeah.
[00:38:11] Grace Peris: [00:38:11] Or you check it on your laptop.
[00:38:15] Bree: [00:38:15] I do have done that. It's easier to reply though. If I'm doing some stuff, if I'm doing any lab work things, um, sometimes I'll use my computer because you can just say slap.
[00:38:25] I
[00:38:25] GB: [00:38:25] think maybe that's fine. Like if you just go, I'm only going to go on Instagram, on my computer. I reckon you'd be swayed because who's actually sitting on their computer for that long on Instagram. Like it's just not the same.
[00:38:37] Bree: [00:38:37] Yeah. When he like quit, like Whoa, kind of tomato. Yeah. He, when he retired, if he had to do anything for like daily talk show or whatever, he would just do it on his
[00:38:45] GB: [00:38:45] computer because you're not spending four hours on Instagram, on your computer.
[00:38:49] There's no way.
[00:38:50] Bree: [00:38:50] Definitely want to delay to David Christmas. I mean, often the other things I want to watch a lot of people doing like their unboxings and stuff. We'd like, Hey tiger. And then I'll delete it, but I'll leave it after that. That's
[00:39:01] GB: [00:39:01] it.
[00:39:02] Bree: [00:39:02] I mean, chocolate brings you joy and it's nice watching everyone else get excited about it too.
[00:39:06] That's true. So I'll watch that. And then I'm off because we were in dealer biology with Josh's parents.
[00:39:12] GB: [00:39:12] Are you doing going there for news?
[00:39:14] Bree: [00:39:14] Oh no. We're leading to new. Year's just in time for new year's because Josh's, mom's having her friends come. So we're leaving the day of new year's Eve. Um, but when we get there from Christmas to new year's Eve, but she'll be hanging out doing some shopping and stuff.
[00:39:29] I mean, I love Jewish parents. I went on a, like when I first got together, I think maybe I was, I know, actually it was when I was like 18, we wanted a cruise, just Josh's mom. And I went around, um, Noumea than a week or two for seven days each day bought each other a little cocktail. It's fun.
[00:39:44] Mr. 97: [00:39:44] Oh, very sweet.
[00:39:46] Bree: [00:39:46] No Josh, because he had no interest in giant ship. Um, yeah. He was good fun. She's a good lady. She's funny. That's so cute.
[00:39:55] GB: [00:39:55] Do you guys like share, do you do like one Christmas at yours, one Christmas at Josh's or?
[00:40:00] Grace Peris: [00:40:00] Um,
[00:40:00] Bree: [00:40:00] kind of some, some years we do all of them in one day. So we'll do like my mom's in the morning or.
[00:40:07] And then my parents are separated too. So there's three, but there's like one that's like in Mitcham, which is like 40 half an hour from here. There's one, that'd be like officer, which again is like an hour. And then another one that's in like Turin, which is like two hours on Christmas day. So it's a long day.
[00:40:22] Grace Peris: [00:40:22] A lot of driving.
[00:40:23] Bree: [00:40:23] Yeah. But this year we're just doing Josh's parents. Let's see if
[00:40:27] GB: [00:40:27] we can just relax
[00:40:28] Bree: [00:40:28] so we can relax and enjoy it, which will be lovely.
[00:40:31] GB: [00:40:31] Um, yeah. You don't have to do that. Like each year it's like I got parents in two States, plus yes, I had, my parents are in Byron with Hannah's parents, but then I've got my dad in new South Wales in like he just moved to the coast anyway.
[00:40:48] It doesn't matter. So there's like two different States pretty much. Um, and. Two separate families.
[00:40:58] Bree: [00:40:58] You got to go
[00:40:59] GB: [00:40:59] between like four people almost. And there's always like, you get the feeling of like letting someone down. But I mean, yeah, we usually try and do like one year with dad one year with mum,
[00:41:10] Bree: [00:41:10] some terms are good because then you don't have to like, worry about like doing too much,
[00:41:14] GB: [00:41:14] like one time.
[00:41:15] And this year it's just like, I just want to go. To borrow and, and just be with the mom for like three weeks and not have to worry about like moving anywhere else. Yeah. So I'm so keen to just like, just relax and
[00:41:26] Jess Lucas: [00:41:26] look jealous. You get to go to a bar and
[00:41:29] Bree: [00:41:29] I really want to
[00:41:30] Jess Lucas: [00:41:30] go. It's so much fun. Nice
[00:41:34] Bree: [00:41:34] Christmas party next year.
[00:41:36] GB: [00:41:36] Seriously, that'd be so good.
[00:41:39] Bree: [00:41:39] Great. When that
[00:41:40] GB: [00:41:40] I'll be sick. Drive up, get a big tour bus
[00:41:45] Grace Peris: [00:41:45] makes me drive.
[00:41:48] Mr. 97: [00:41:48] What if I say, imagine if you get your heavy vehicle license before your actual, but I don't think they'd let you do that. You'd probably have to have you.
[00:41:57] Bree: [00:41:57] Yeah, I think he's doing Jeff's.
[00:42:00] Mr. 97: [00:42:00] Oh,
[00:42:00] Jess Lucas: [00:42:00] she's opening the door.
[00:42:03] GB: [00:42:03] I can feel the breeze.
[00:42:07] Bree: [00:42:07] Yeah.
[00:42:08] GB: [00:42:08] Yeah,
[00:42:09] Mr. 97: [00:42:09] no, it sounds good. That's
[00:42:10] Bree: [00:42:10] really good.
[00:42:12] Mr. 97: [00:42:12] That's really good. That was really, I was just confused.
[00:42:16] GB: [00:42:16] Nice. What are you, what are you stopping? You had a bit of a tease early today.
[00:42:22] Mr. 97: [00:42:22] I have to tase, I teach. Did I tell you, is that what you
[00:42:24] GB: [00:42:24] saying? Chase me. He said, I'll tell you what all
[00:42:27] Grace Peris: [00:42:27] you too
[00:42:29] Mr. 97: [00:42:29] lucky GB.
[00:42:30] No, no, I, I, I mentioned, I mentioned to grace, uh, earlier and also to UGB around, uh, like alcohol and drinking. And I think, I think during like COVID, and just with like it being work, being busy and it all, everything being sort of a little bit stressful and overwhelming, it became a little bit of a crutch.
[00:42:52] And I feel like it is a little bit of a crutch to like relax and just chill out and sort of not feel how you're actually feeling. So I I'm, I'm thinking I'm going to. Go off alcohol. I don't know for how long, and I don't know what it actually looks like, but I think that's, that's something that I want to do.
[00:43:09] GB: [00:43:09] How much will you drink? Yeah, that's a great idea.
[00:43:12] Mr. 97: [00:43:12] Well, I'm not look, I wasn't a rut. Yeah, no, I wasn't a raging.
[00:43:17] GB: [00:43:17] Yeah. It's still something
[00:43:21] Bree: [00:43:21] us
[00:43:22] Mr. 97: [00:43:22] it's uh, yeah, it's, it's, it's only, it's only a couple, like it's only a couple of glasses, but it is that thing of the, the masking of. Any, any feelings or, or tiredness or whatever. So that that's where it sort of stems from as opposed to, you know, it's not like I'm a Lucia in it when I'm.
[00:43:39] GB: [00:43:39] Yeah, no, I definitely don't.
[00:43:40] Yeah, I get it.
[00:43:42] Jess Lucas: [00:43:42] Sick of picking you up off the gutter.
[00:43:45] Grace Peris: [00:43:45] Another Friday night
[00:43:48] Bree: [00:43:48] dash Melvin, for you.
[00:43:50] Grace Peris: [00:43:50] And you're just out every night.
[00:43:53] Jess Lucas: [00:43:53] Sorry. When is this happening from me?
[00:43:58] Mr. 97: [00:43:58] Friday
[00:43:59] GB: [00:43:59] after the Christmas party.
[00:44:01] Mr. 97: [00:44:01] Yeah. I don't know. I've I've got to figure that out.
[00:44:08] Jess Lucas: [00:44:08] Saturday can start. I'm starting Saturday too.
[00:44:12] Mr. 97: [00:44:12] Are you doing no drinking from Saturday?
[00:44:13] Bree: [00:44:13] Well, January yet. Oh, you're trying. You're going early.
[00:44:17] Jess Lucas: [00:44:17] Um, I just want to break cause I feel like I've just, since we've kinda lost you, I'm just going real hard. And so Chris has Hardy. Although I do. I'm meant to be going to a winery on Saturday as well, but, uh, I'm just gonna say how I feel, you know, I'm the same.
[00:44:31] Yeah. Yeah. You just need to do it in a, in controlled environments and like consciously, like not worrying and not doing it just because you can.
[00:44:40] Bree: [00:44:40] Yeah. Yeah,
[00:44:41] GB: [00:44:41] totally. I feel so much better when I don't like, yeah, yeah. Get so fired up for Monday. Didn't really drink this weekend and just like, felt, felt great this morning.
[00:44:51] So yeah, I'm in the same boat.
[00:44:53] Bree: [00:44:53] And then we never drank until like two years ago.
[00:44:57] GB: [00:44:57] Actually. That's a good point. So
[00:44:59] Bree: [00:44:59] we just started, he used to drink coffee. I bet that started at the same time. Coffee and alcohol. And then, yeah, it's terrible. I say the same thing as Josh I've just started drinking. It's like, dude, you did that two years ago.
[00:45:11] You kind of, I
[00:45:12] Jess Lucas: [00:45:12] love it.
[00:45:14] GB: [00:45:14] Yeah. So that, that was the whole thing. So Josh said. He kept saying, Oh, just started drinking. I've just thought of drinking and wait, gave him a two year limit of saying that I actually tracked down when the first time. It was said was, and I reckon, I mean, I just got it. I haven't written down this annoying,
[00:45:34] Mr. 97: [00:45:34] but write it down.
[00:45:36] GB: [00:45:36] It was episode one 21, which was a, Oh my gosh. Wow. That's all you guys. Uh,
[00:45:42] Bree: [00:45:42] Mason was a baby then.
[00:45:43] Mr. 97: [00:45:43] Yeah, it was hustled in Venice.
[00:45:48] GB: [00:45:48] Choose
[00:45:49] Mr. 97: [00:45:49] Tuesday, July three, 2018.
[00:45:51] GB: [00:45:51] Oh God. It's
[00:45:52] Grace Peris: [00:45:52] been over two years. Oh, wow.
[00:45:55] GB: [00:45:55] And you guys had a Brits? Yes.
[00:45:58] Mr. 97: [00:45:58] All lives inside an Aperol spritz
[00:46:01] Bree: [00:46:01] always tell the same story.
[00:46:03] It's like, Oh, we only started drinking when we went to bed. Aperol is that with two year olds?
[00:46:08] Grace Peris: [00:46:08] I know the
[00:46:09] Bree: [00:46:09] big ones are the plastic cups. Yeah. You can tell the story floating.
[00:46:14] GB: [00:46:14] But what I've noticed is Josh has stopped saying I've just started drinking and instead he says, I didn't drink for the first 28 years alive.
[00:46:23] Mr. 97: [00:46:23] You have to drink it.
[00:46:24] GB: [00:46:24] Yeah. So I like that. Nice pivot.
[00:46:27] Bree: [00:46:27] Yeah. Well now we drink alcohol and coffee. So
[00:46:33] Jess Lucas: [00:46:33] they're just buddy really extensive
[00:46:34] Bree: [00:46:34] habits. Aren't that? I can't believe actually that's one thing that I've noticed like half the time alcohol be more than like the food bill. Yeah.
[00:46:41] Mr. 97: [00:46:41] Yeah.
[00:46:43] Bree: [00:46:43] And he got, like, I'm not saying anything crazy.
[00:46:45] Like if you went somewhere nice and you got two cocktails each or whatever, that's 80 bucks.
[00:46:49] Jess Lucas: [00:46:49] Yeah, exactly. Yeah. Um, however, we can't, we have to stop drinking. And when you guys come down to vinegar,
[00:46:56] GB: [00:46:56] Oh,
[00:46:58] Jess Lucas: [00:46:58] this is going to revolve around drinking. I'm sorry. Drinking and eating
[00:47:06] Grace Peris: [00:47:06] a lot of the, um, as I was talking to Mesa about like a lot of activities, especially coming out of lockdown, I like about going out and like. Enjoying local businesses and stuff, and that's like eating and then there's always the drinking as well. Unfortunately. So it's really hard to go out and not sometimes.
[00:47:25] Yeah. Especially like new places that are coming up and things like that
[00:47:29] Bree: [00:47:29] and have lots of fun, like outdoor, he sort of has to do, like, everything just keeps popping up on Broadway. I'm like, Oh, that looks .
[00:47:37] GB: [00:47:37] If it's on broad, I'm not going
[00:47:46] Grace Peris: [00:47:46] Georgia's cool.
[00:47:47] GB: [00:47:47] The way they write stuff.
[00:47:51] Jess Lucas: [00:47:51] Well, Shane, because our, where we're going for our Christmas party on Friday had a massive write-off on fraud sheets.
[00:48:00] GB: [00:48:00] something off. Jess is like, you know, I'm in talks with them about getting a, a sponsorship deal.
[00:48:05] Mr. 97: [00:48:05] The broadsheets out of the
[00:48:07] Bree: [00:48:07] birthdates great team, a lovely at broad shape,
[00:48:13] Mr. 97: [00:48:13] broad shade is really good. It's it's like they, they had the. The flower delivery store that I should have used when I got Grace Flowers on there, I should have just read the article on the best delivery flower delivery services in Perth.
[00:48:25] And it would have nailed it.
[00:48:26] Bree: [00:48:26] Yeah,
[00:48:27] Grace Peris: [00:48:27] that's okay. For next time,
[00:48:28] Mr. 97: [00:48:28] 1-800-FLOWERS.
[00:48:33] Grace Peris: [00:48:33] It is the thought that counts, right. That's what I said to him. It was a lovely thing of you too. It's very sweet.
[00:48:38] Bree: [00:48:38] Yeah, it was when you went to the airport and everything, you were very swayed.
[00:48:42] GB: [00:48:42] Did you get a pain? Is
[00:48:43] Mr. 97: [00:48:43] pain. H
[00:48:44] GB: [00:48:44] yep. Favorite flower.
[00:48:47] Grace Peris: [00:48:47] Oh,
[00:48:48] Mr. 97: [00:48:48] great memory. George
[00:48:50] Bree: [00:48:50] flushing.
[00:48:53] GB: [00:48:53] Good memory. Speaking of memories.
[00:48:55] Uh, we, I did a bit of digging. I mean, we'll get to that in a sec, but Bray. With Josh for a long time. We've talked about since, when, which year do you reckon you guys got together?
[00:49:08] Bree: [00:49:08] 20, 2017? No. 17. I find
[00:49:17] Mr. 97: [00:49:17] it's really rattling when, when you say 20, cause then it's like it knocks out all the two thousands,
[00:49:22] Bree: [00:49:22] 2007, 2007.
[00:49:25] Yeah.
[00:49:25] GB: [00:49:25] Yeah. That's a long time ago. I just found a few nice little romantic things that he said on the show, which, uh, I'd like to play for you now.
[00:49:36] Josh Janssen: [00:49:36] Valentine's day, what year? 2009. I reckon I was picking her up from her place and in the seatbelt. Was a little stuffed bear in his
[00:49:48] Bree: [00:49:48] arms
[00:49:49] Josh Janssen: [00:49:49] was a McDonald's cheeseburger.
[00:49:55] Mr. 97: [00:49:55] braise Harbor. He loved it.
[00:49:56] Josh Janssen: [00:49:56] It was her dad's wedding. And I surprised her with some jewelry and a register.
[00:50:03] GB: [00:50:03] Yeah,
[00:50:05] Josh Janssen: [00:50:05] that was, I was completely obsessed with gray.
[00:50:09] Grace Peris: [00:50:09] We
[00:50:09] Bree: [00:50:09] were, we were friends. And he liked me
[00:50:13] GB: [00:50:13] in,
[00:50:14] Josh Janssen: [00:50:14] I asked her out three times and she said, no, every time I drew like a mind map and it started off with like, how do I get Bray as my girlfriend?
[00:50:24] And I did all of these arrows. And then I just put it somewhere where she would have phage that.
[00:50:33] No, no,
[00:50:33] Bree: [00:50:33] no, no, no, no,
[00:50:34] Josh Janssen: [00:50:34] not that book.
[00:50:35] Bree: [00:50:35] Not that book.
[00:50:36] Josh Janssen: [00:50:36] No, no, no, no, no. What's in this book. I might know
[00:50:39] Bree: [00:50:39] John look at the book.
[00:50:42] Josh Janssen: [00:50:42] Oh my God. It's a mind map.
[00:50:50] I just loving you
[00:50:51] Bree: [00:50:51] and I'm
[00:50:53] Josh Janssen: [00:50:53] drawing a possible roadmap
[00:50:55] Bree: [00:50:55] of how we could be together. Oh, he raised me sad at that time. I just wasn't ready for a boyfriend. That's all. It was a skin. Um, Not, yeah, he's really lovely. But this story with the red underwear, did he tell you like that? I actually worked at bras and things and he went, and my manager, like when I wasn't there and asked my manager for help was like, Oh, I think she would like this.
[00:51:28] And he came up to the register and a red pushup bra that had like the Slack. Almost this real puffy sort of gel like stuffing it. And it was all red lights. It was matching and a love heart necklace with a little diamond to unit. Oh, that's cute. That's
[00:51:40] Grace Peris: [00:51:40] pretty,
[00:51:41] Bree: [00:51:41] very thoughtful, very thoughtful. And I remembered them line map.
[00:51:45] I still got it. You've got a box with all our little things and it was on a black, like visual arts diary page. It was all drawn in gel pens. It was very he's. Yeah, he's very sweet and very lovely.
[00:52:00] GB: [00:52:00] Did you guys have many classes together in school?
[00:52:03] Bree: [00:52:03] Um, we had, we were just in media class together. Um, and
[00:52:08] GB: [00:52:08] that's how we met in his films.
[00:52:10] Bree: [00:52:10] Well, I was, we actually worked on a film to get an idea. I helped him with a lot of stuff. I thought he was really cool and interesting because he was different to the other guys. Um, and I found it, he had a real passion for what the filmmaking and it was really creative. And I was like, Oh, this guy's cool.
[00:52:24] And it was super opinionated didn't care, basically what anyone thought. And he, we worked on a film together. We were doing like a remake of like the Shawshank redemption, just like a scene. And it was, I was the casting director and he was the director of the film. We were the only two that gave a shit about their production.
[00:52:40] So we went and did all the prop shopping, like all that sort of stuff together. Um, and that's how we essentially like, sort of started getting closer and became friends. And I spent a lot of time at his house and stuff. Um, but that was about it. We had like media, maybe like an English class together, but, um, I ended up then spending like most nights hanging out at his parents' house and spending time with him and his mom and his family, and basically never left.
[00:53:04] That's so nice. No, no look, there's been trying talk, lack, lack, any relationship. I'm actually curious,
[00:53:16] Mr. 97: [00:53:16] George, what would have you done if Bryce said yes,
[00:53:21] Bree: [00:53:21] we've been close. Um, I mean, I think any relationship goes through hard times and we're by no means perfect. I mean, we were each other's like first love, um, You know, that sort of thing. We haven't really had experience with anyone else. Um, there was a lot of firsts together, um, and I think you sort of, as you grow up and we're very fortunate that our careers are quite similar.
[00:53:42] And the wants and stuff that like, the things that we want in our life are very aligned, like in the sense of travel when we can, again, um, and we don't want kids and all those sorts of things and we both still feel that way. Um, but yeah, there's definitely been times where we've been like, is this it? I don't know.
[00:53:58] Like, and I think it's okay to question it. I think when you're young and all that, especially when you've been together for so long, you change, um, It does make you think about it, but yeah, I mean, um, and I think too, the, the hard times and sounds cliche, but I think also the hard times make you realize, or if you're close to losing something, um, or someone that means a lot to you, I think you realize how good you've got it.
[00:54:21] So yeah, I think, yeah. Hi, lovely.
[00:54:25] GB: [00:54:25] Beautiful. So sweet. Now you guys are great together. You just.
[00:54:30] Bree: [00:54:30] Well, so are you in house and guys, you guys a little, sorry, Jess, I just bloody love you,
[00:54:37] GB: [00:54:37] but yeah, I feel like I just want to play this little bit, um, while we're on the topic of school is this is, uh, a grab from Joshua's first podcast when he was in, in 2007.
[00:54:52] And what I love about it is it just it's. So Josh and I can just, he hasn't changed. No that much. And you've been with him since that time. And it just, everything about this is just hilarious. And I can just picture him as a 15 year old kid in school making this thing.
[00:55:10] Josh Janssen: [00:55:10] Hi everyone. My name's Josh Janssen and welcome to the Josh Janssen show for the 7th of February, 2007.
[00:55:17] Bree: [00:55:17] When babies are annoying noodle restaurant, I listened to
[00:55:24] Josh Janssen: [00:55:24] tonight on the show, you get to hear Josh singing irreplaceable.
[00:55:31] Bree: [00:55:31] You must not know about me. You must not know about me.
[00:55:35] Josh Janssen: [00:55:35] Josh also talks about the latest interesting news and it also. Tell you a joke. The Josh Janssen
[00:55:41] Mr. 97: [00:55:41] show
[00:55:42] Josh Janssen: [00:55:42] starts in
[00:55:43] Bree: [00:55:43] three.
[00:55:47] Wow.
[00:55:50] GB: [00:55:50] The gunfire is a bit much.
[00:55:52] Bree: [00:55:52] That's fantastic. Sorry. Like, apart from the gunshots, I remember him playing that to me at the time and I was like, Oh my God, this is the core. That sounds so cool. So professional. It does
[00:56:04] GB: [00:56:04] editing is sick, but yeah, everyone should listen to that song.
[00:56:07] Bree: [00:56:07] He used to upload YouTube videos possible irreplaceable.
[00:56:12] Like he would do. He would reenact them like with his mate and we'd do like different songs and upload them to YouTube.
[00:56:19] GB: [00:56:19] That's so funny.
[00:56:20] Bree: [00:56:20] Well, I've always been very creative.
[00:56:22] GB: [00:56:22] Yeah. And, um, so I did a bit of digging cause I was like, Oh, let's talk about memories. I found some of your old Twitter statuses razor because grace is getting right into Twitter.
[00:56:32] Now she's.
[00:56:33] Grace Peris: [00:56:33] Yeah. Yeah. I haven't tweeted in a while. I've been anyway.
[00:56:37] Bree: [00:56:37] I'm still out of the
[00:56:38] Grace Peris: [00:56:38] everyday.
[00:56:40] Mr. 97: [00:56:40] Get a moment. It would have been like what let's awakey go maybe in the last two weeks where you, Oh, so you have to update
[00:56:47] Grace Peris: [00:56:47] Oh yeah. Your bio. Oh yeah,
[00:56:49] Bree: [00:56:49] because I think I said it. So I still worked at Suzanne. I haven't done that for four years.
[00:56:56] GB: [00:56:56] Um, so this one. It was from, uh, June 21, 2010. How is good Newsweek still running? What's your pushback on that show? That's a great,
[00:57:12] passionate about getting that off the air
[00:57:19] and then August 15, 2010, helping Josh Janssen with his script. It's a nerdy based film. I want a happy ending, but he wants to kill everyone off.
[00:57:31] Bree: [00:57:31] I didn't even know what that would have been. Cause he used to be at, he was at VCA. Like if you try and college of the arts when we were in high school and that's what he did, like as a part-time course.
[00:57:40] So he made us run for that. And then we made a bunch of student films, Bartlett high school. I can't even remember, honestly,
[00:57:47] GB: [00:57:47] that's a good tactic for writing a short film, like
[00:57:51] Bree: [00:57:51] hence the gunshots. It seems to be a bit,
[00:57:55] um,
[00:57:56] GB: [00:57:56] this one first week is October 24, 2010. First weekend. I have actually used my computer for fun. Stuff in such a long time, realizing how much I've missed my comp and the internet.
[00:58:10] Bree: [00:58:10] Wow. What a gal.
[00:58:13] GB: [00:58:13] But then what I love is like a few weeks later, you said we'll never download music.
[00:58:20] Bree: [00:58:20] I wonder if I got in trouble or something,
[00:58:22] Grace Peris: [00:58:22] Limewire, maybe
[00:58:24] Bree: [00:58:24] got a conscience that I was like, you should not be downloading music, buy it and support the arts.
[00:58:29] Mr. 97: [00:58:29] It, it, it even extends out like five years later, July 12th, 2015. We'd love to catch a Virgin Australia flight. That was actually,
[00:58:39] Bree: [00:58:39] what year was
[00:58:40] Jess Lucas: [00:58:40] that?
[00:58:41] Bree: [00:58:41] 2015. Yeah, I spent it, I was probably, you know what I was at Suzanne then, and I was probably late for a shoot and I was probably stupid pierced. Cause I probably had something with me that they needed.
[00:58:50] Um, and I was Cadillac
[00:58:52] Grace Peris: [00:58:52] aggressive though.
[00:58:53] Bree: [00:58:53] Yeah, I know. Look, I'm not proud of it. Do you see any other statuses now, guys? I'm no longer passive aggressive, but it's past time.
[00:59:00] Grace Peris: [00:59:00] Brian since then.
[00:59:04] Mr. 97: [00:59:04] Can I just, I love this one. This is, this is a tweet, Jill, uh, June 10th, 2010 loves the, you send it program. Makes it so easy to send zip files smiley face.
[00:59:16] Bree: [00:59:16] Oh, wow. I dunno what that was, but I was, that was a year into my job working at a beauty, like a cosmetics company. Um, and I was there like PR assistant there or whatever, and I was probably just like a bit of a flex look.
[00:59:35] I'm a tech gal. I dunno. Maybe I was trying to impress Josh.
[00:59:40] GB: [00:59:40] Yeah.
[00:59:41] Bree: [00:59:41] He'd always get impressed where I talked about like InDesign or something like that. He'd be like, Ooh, God and girl,
[00:59:50] GB: [00:59:50] what grades? I thank you so much for coming on. Thanks so much fun.
